TASHKENT, Uzbekistan — In order to increase the tourism potential of the Gulbozor mahalla, develop internal and external tourism, including by ensuring the popularity of this place throughout the year, various public events are organized here.
As part of this, on 20 June, the event “Tashkent navolari va makom kechasi” was held in the tourist mahalla “Gulbozor”.
In it, folk ensembles of Shaykhontokhur region, “Makom” named after Yunus Rajabi and “Dutorchi Girls” performed national songs and yallas, classical makoms and lapars, which delighted foreign and local tourists. At the same time, famous artisans of Tashkent took part in the event with their national products.
It is worth noting that large-scale work has been carried out on the tourist street, located in the Gulbozor mahalla, and the ancient historical appearance of Tashkent has been preserved.
In particular, all communication networks were laid underground. The historical gate at the entrance to the street has been restored. A large ivan with carved columns was built, next to which a pond was created. Embroidery and crafts workshops, a bakery, restaurants serving national cuisine, and jewelry stores have been organized. In order to immerse themselves in the history, culture and values of the Uzbek people, tourists are invited to visit the exhibitions “History of Bread” and “Journey to Ancient Tashkent”, organized on the street. In addition, a hotel was built here. Fruit and ornamental trees and flowers are planted along the street.
As part of the event, a press tour was organized for representatives of foreign and domestic media.
